About San Jose Blue

In 1930, San Jose Blueprint and Supply Company was established to serve the Santa Clara County.  Under the leadership of  Burree Cowherd, followed by her son Randy Cowherd, Dave Dignam, her grandson Myles Cowherd and now Rick Ferry - San Jose Blue has became the foremost resource in the Sillicon Valley for the CAD operator, graphic designer, architect, engineer and the A/E/C market in need of reprographic work that meet or exceeded the highest standards in quality, attention to detail and flexibility in meeting deadlines.

Sixty-six years later, the company's name was shortened to San Jose Blue to reflect changing markets and technologies while maintaining linkage to the origins of our business. The company has always had strong relationships with premiere equipment and supply vendors, including Océ, Xerox, Hewlett Packard, Intelicoat Technologies, Canon and others. Over the years, this impressive roster grew to include hardware and services from small-format copiers, digital reproduction of black and white, color, as well as bindery and finishing services.

In 1998, San Jose Blue joined the American Reprographics Company. As the largest reprographic company in the world, ARC provides San Jose Blue with 44 sister divisions in more than 150 remote printing locations across North America (including facilities across the street from the FedEx hub in Memphis). Our parent company also provides the most innovative technology available in reprographics today, including the family of PlanWell® products, the world's premiere online construction documentation systems; EWO, the electronic work order; the support of a dedicated Technology Center in Silicon Valley, CA, and much more.

Now, more than 75 years after its modest beginnings, San Jose Blue is the model for quality reprographic services in the heart of Silicon Valley, servicing more than 2,500 clients from around the state and over the Internet.
